Auto supplier Seaway Plastics Corp. has closed its doors, ending 10 jobs at the family-owned injection molder.
No one was available to comment for the Marine City-based company, which closed at the end of February. Officials in Marine City, a municipality northeast of Detroit, said the region's parts manufacturers have been hurt as the U.S. automotive industry struggles.
Seaway was in business for more than 40 years. Local media noted the firm employed more than 30 people two years ago, but steadily decreased the size of its workforce.
