Basell Polyolefine GmbH touts enhanced transparency in its new Clyrell RC514L specialty poly¼propylene resin aimed at form-fill-seal applications.
The Frankfurt, Germany, firm claims the new material can outperform standard PP in clarity, mechanical strength and processing. It also shows excellent stiffness and high output.
Basell said that unlike PET, the PP can be hot filled, pasteurized and microwave heated. It is suited to both multilayer coextrusion and film lamination techniques and can save weight compared with conventional materials, the firm added.
