Arburg GmbH + Co. KG hit record sales of 363.4 million euros ($456 million) in 2006.
The financial results surpassed the best-ever sales for the German injection press maker - 356 million euros in 2000. The sales include Arburg's headquarters in Lossburg and 21 companies around the world that sell and service Arburg machines.
The total group sales for 2006 increased more than 18 percent from 2005. Arburg also added 77 new jobs in 2006.
Arburg officials disclosed preliminary results in March during the company's ``Technology Days'' event in Lossburg. The official, audited numbers came out June 7.
Executives credited strong sales of the Golden Edition press and the electric Alldrive machine for the strong year.
The Hehl family, which owns Arburg, continues to invest in the company. In Lossburg, Arburg is building a 108,000-square-foot customer service center at its factory. The building should be completed by fall 2008.
The center will serve as the ``front door'' of the Lossburg headquarters. Arburg partner Eugen Hehl said the firm designed the five-story building to blend in with the rest of its complex, and avoid towering over its hometown in Germany's Black Forest region.
