Mattec Corp. said its ProHelp EPM Version 7.1 gives the same, real-time shop-floor monitoring and control for continuous processes, such as sheet, profiles, blown film, compounding and thermoforming, as that achieved for cyclical operations like injection molding.
“For the first time, manufacturers can easily integrate all the processes within a factory,” said Mattec President Mick Thiel. “Even companies operating very different kinds of machinery can now get total continuity in production and process monitoring and reporting.”
ProHelp continuously monitors every machine and alerts users to critical changes in process conditions, such as speed, temperature or pressure, so the process gets corrected before the machine produces bad parts.
Continuous processes need their own set of functions and parameters. Extrusion, for example, must be monitored for screw revolutions per minute, melt temperature, screen pressure, line speed and other data.
Mattec is based in Loveland, Ohio.
