(Aug. 31, 3:05 p.m. EDT) — I enjoyed your recent edition with the special report on the history of plastics. As the deputy chair of the archives center of the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution, I was struck by just how many of our collections are directly related to topics covered in the section.
Your readers may benefit from learning about the archives center and our plastics-related collections such as the J. Harry DuBois Collection on “The History of Plastics,” Celluloid Corp. records, Albany Billiard Ball Co. records, Leo H. Baekeland papers, Earl Tupper papers and the Formica Collection, to name just a few.
