NEW ALBANY, IND. (Sept. 3, 3 p.m. EDT) — Conforma Clad Inc. of New Albany has introduced to the twin-screw extrusion industry its infiltration brazed tungsten carbide protection for screw elements.
The cladding is metallurgically bonded to screw flights greater than three-sixteenths of an inch. That provides tighter barrel tolerances and improved process control, according to the company.
Conforma Clad will exhibit the technology at the K 2007 show.
