Inkcups Now Corp. of Danvers, Mass., has introduced a large-parts pad-printing machine.
The ICN-150 handles 150-millimeter (6-inch) ink cups, which enables printed images up to 140mm in diameter. Its independent pad/ink cup stroke allows easy loading of large parts and fine-tuning of the print cycle.
In other news, Inkcups Now said two of its Sapphire product lines, the MB and J3 series, have been certified in Class 6 and approved for use in the medical device and diagnostic industry.
Inkcups Now also said its new computer-to-plate laser and printing plate maker, the Cobalt 350, makes plates for pad printing and is a versatile industrial laser etcher. The laser has very small spot size, and a variety of raster programs, controlling the quality of the printed images and laser-etched graphics.
The XY motion of the laser print head allows the machine to print very large images, measuring up to 25 inches by 18 inches.
By installing the Cobalt software to a standard personal computer, you can begin printing images to the Cobalt 350 laser.
