RTP Co. has introduced long-cut pellets for additive masterbatches to be blended with its long-fiber-reinforced compounds.
The Winona, Minn., firm says the long-cut pellets have similar geometry to pellets containing its long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resins. This means that when the two materials are blended, only minimal separation of the pellets occurs.
RTP says the new products allow customers the choice of blending long-cut additive pellets with long-fiber thermoplastic pellets, or of using additives already pre-compounded into long-fiber thermoplastic pellets.
