S+S Inspection Inc. said its second-generation line of Raycon X-ray inspection systems uses a lower-power X-ray, but processes images at higher throughputs than the previous model.
The Raycon line is designed for final inspection of packaged goods, including aluminum-coated or metalized film packaging.
The Raycon units detect contamination and identify missing, broken or underweight product, with a weighing accuracy of plus or minus 1 percent.
The stainless-steel housing has been designed for easy cleaning. The device has a touch-screen monitor.
