Simco Industrial Static Control has introduced the Ionforce static-control bar for injection molding.
Molded parts can have high charges of static electricity that attract airborne contamination. Operators also can get an uncomfortable shock when working next to the collection bin.
The Ionforce static bar is installed in the part ejection area, or over tubs used for part delivery and collection. It has an extended range, with an optional air assist, to neutralize static charges in the injection molding process.
The bar has a low profile, just 1.13 inches high.
Simco, an Illinois Tool Works Inc. company, is based in Hatfield, Pa.
