K 2007, the world's largest plastics industry show, opened Oct. 24 in Dusseldorf, Germany, and is expected to exceed 200,000 visitors, not including 30,000 exhibiting staff. The event, organized by Messe Dusseldorf, has become increasingly more international. The number of foreign exhibitors, 1,992, and exhibition space used, 1.03 million square feet, both exceed the respective figures of 1,138 and 790,727 square feet for exhibitors from Germany. The show runs through Oct. 31.
