DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY (Dec. 18, 5:30 p.m. EST) — Kraton Polymers LLC introduced a new grade of its styrenic block copolymers for use in hot-melt adhesive labels.
According to officials with Houston-based Kraton, the new material has outstanding adhesive properties and can reduce total systems cost. The firm also recently received Food and Drug Administration approval to use its SBC materials in fatty-food applications, officials said at K 2007, held Oct. 24-31 in Dusseldorf.
In Shanghai, China, Kraton opened a new technical center earlier this year. The center includes distribution capabilities and technical product support for customers in the region.
