Wentworth Technologies Co. Ltd.'s experience with thermoforming in Poland is prompting it to expand that capability elsewhere.
The company, based in Burlington, Ontario, already thermoforms packaging in Zarnowiec, and now it wants to acquire a thermoformer of clamshell food packaging, according to Ted Kuskowski, Wentworth's vice president of business development.
The addition of such a company would match Wentworth's capabilities not only in tooling for all types of packaging but in manufacturing those packages as well, he said.
``We make the whole spectrum of packaging molds,'' Kuskowski said.
He said Wentworth prefers to acquire a manufacturer with $15 million to $30 million in annual sales in Europe or North America. But Wentworth also will consider smaller companies, according to Kuskowski.
