Ingenia Polymers has introduced new functional compounds and masterbatches.
IP1890 is an endothermic chemical foaming agent compound for industrial blown film and extrusion uses where weight reduction, opacity, stiffness and elongation are required. It produces smaller cell sizes than typical competing products.
IP1069 is a nonmigratory medium-slip masterbatch for lamination and barrier film applications.
It is designed by Houston-based Ingenia for critical applications where migration would be problematic and where a controlled coefficient of friction is demanded.
IP1092 is a new, high-clarity anti-block masterbatch. The anti-block is permanent because the particles are bound within the polymer matrix. The product reduces blocking while maintaining low film haze and high clarity.
IP1810 is masterbatch for high-clarity polyethylene uses. It was developed as an alternative to mixing low density PE with linear low density PE or high density PE to improve clarity. Adding LDPE interferes with mechanical properties whereas IP1810 does not, according to Ingenia. IP1810 also improves vapor barrier properties, the company said.
