Acrylics USA LLC has developed the Peacock color creation tool that reportedly allows easy color creation and communication.
The tool comprises 33 colored strips each with seven color density stripes, and five textured strips, the company said. A density stripe from a colored strip can be overlaid onto another stripe from a different hue to create any color. A textured sheet can be laid over or behind the new color to imitate translucency and texture.
Acrylics USA claims the nonelectronic tool can create colors in minutes and saves time vs. mixing inks and dyes. The strip combination can be communicated easily to others wanting to duplicate the color.
The Waukesha, Wis., company sells a color kit containing the Peacock tool and acrylic chips for about $189.95.
