Brian Ray is set to succeed Walter Walker as chairman of the Thermoforming Division of the Brookfield, Conn.-based Society of Plastics Engineers on July 1.
Ray is president of Ray Products Co. Inc. of Ontario, Calif., and Walker is chief operating officer and vice president of operations for Prent Corp. of Janesville, Wis.
At an early February meeting in Marathon, Fla., the division's board also named other officers for two-year terms: Chair-elect Ken Griep, vice president of Portage Casting & Mold Inc. of Portage, Wis.; Treasurer James Alongi, president of MAAC Machinery Corp. in Carol Stream, Ill.; and Secretary Mike Sirotnak, vice president of Solar Products Inc. in Pompton Lakes, N.J. Also serving on the executive committee is counselor Roger Kipp, vice president of marketing and engineering with McClarin Plastics Inc. of Hanover, Pa., who was named to fulfill the final year of a term expiring in 2009.
