Maag Pump Systems AG, based in Oberglatt, Switzerland, is touting its maax line of controllers that integrate gear pumps and screen changers in extrusion lines.
Maag Pump's maax 9 is suited for easy retrofitting to existing systems. It offers statistical functions and process data memory, so quality can be traced.
The maax 100S simplifies operation, control and regulation of operating parameters. The modular and customizable maax 62 is designed for turnkey extrusion and compounding plants. The low-cost maax 3 controller is aimed at small, low-throughput extruders.
Last year, Maag Pump Systems and Oerlikon Barmag of Remscheid, Germany, announced a cooperation agreement under which both companies can sell each other's products. Oerlikon Barmag makes metering pumps for the textile industry, and gear-metering pumps for industrial customers.
Maag's U.S. unit, Maag Pump Systems Textron Inc., is in Charlotte, N.C.
