French robot maker Sepro Robotique is offering its largest beam robot platform in the Generation IV line, plus a new dual-arm version of its pick-and-place robot, the Axess series.
The Model 4060 beam robot can carry large automotive and other parts molded on injection presses up to 3,500 tons. It comes in a heavy-load configuration that can handle payloads of as much as 176 pounds, and a long demolding version that has a with a Y-axis measuring up to 71 inches.
The standard horizontal stroke is 138 inches and the vertical stroke is 118 inches.
The Axess Twin dual-arm robot has two vertical-axis arms on a single horizontal beam. The primary arm grips the part, while the secondary arm picks the sprue. The double-arm setup can be applied to all three Axess models, in sizes suitable for use with injection presses up to 600 tons.
