Agr pressure tester aids PTI bottle design
HOLLAND, OHIO - Holland-based Plastic Technologies Inc., which specializes in PET bottle design, has purchased a PPT3000 Packaging Pressure Tester from Agr International Inc.
The servo-controlled pressure tester allows laboratory personnel to measure the performance of all points of a container, simultaneously, on one device. It uses tap water for filling and nitrogen gas for pressurization.
PTI officials said this type of test is becoming more important as the bottle industry moves to smaller containers made of advanced materials, since smaller and lighter bottles have a greater tendency to expand.
Agr International is in Butler, Pa.
