Packaging manufacturer Pregis Corp. has formed the Pregis Distributor Council to speed up marketing of new packaging for end users, company officials said in a May 28 news release.
The council will meet quarterly, said Josephine Lee, Pregis' director of marketing, in a May 29 telephone interview. It already has 10 members and may expand to 50, she said. In addition to giving feedback on Pregis products, council members will receive training on operating concepts, company President Kevin Baudhuin said in the release.
``We have a wealth of knowledge in areas such as sustainability, lean manufacturing, inventory control, material handling, processing, time management, [and] safety,'' he said.
The Deerfield-based company makes flexible films and polyethylene foam sheet. It operates 47 facilities in 18 countries.
