German injection press maker Arburg GmbH + Co. KG is loading up a truck to take its Technology on Tour 2008 show on the road. On board the truck, inset, is an electric Allrounder 320 A with a clamping force of 50 metric tons, to demonstrate molding. A presentation explains Arburg's energy-efficient strategy, including its environmentally friendly headquarters building in Lossburg, Germany. The tour started April 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark, above, at the city's historic central square. Arburg worked with the Danish plastics industry association, Plastindustrien i Danmark. The next day, the traveling exhibition stopped outside the main entrance to a trade show in Malmö, Sweden. Other stops included Spain, at Barcelona and Antzuola, then on to the Moldplas show at Batalha, Portugal. Destination Plasturgie, a concept of France's Federation de la Plasturgie trade group, partnered with Arburg and provided the semi-trailer truck for the tour.
