Auxiliary equipment supplier Gneuss Inc. has expanded into a new 6,000-square-foot building in Matthews.
The new facility is across the street from the company's old building, which measured 3,500 square feet, said Monika Gneuss, vice president of sales and marketing manager. The larger building provides more warehouse space for parts inventory, equipment repairs and offices.
She said the leased building also has room for a larger laboratory, with a Davis-Standard Merritt extruder equipped with a Gneuss RSFgenius 45 melt filter and a Rieter pelletizer.
Gneuss supplies rotary melt filters, transducers and transmitters for measuring melt pressure and temperature, and equipment for devolatilization.
