Trumpf Inc. has opened a technical center at its headquarters in Farmington, Conn., where the company is developing new lasers and expanding production of laser resonators.
The 86,000-square-foot building was added to Trumpf's existing campus. It features a 55,200-square-foot production hall and a 6,000-square-foot, Class 10,000 clean room. The building also houses the laser marking application and sales group.
The company invested $29 million in the building, which was completed in April.
About 120 employees are staffing the new building. Trumpf employs more than 750 people in North America.
