Zyvex Performance Materials LLC recently entered an agreement with Lockheed Martin Corp. to expand the use of Zyvex's nanocomposites.
Zyvex Performance Materials, which was spun off from Zyvex Corp. in April 2007, uses nanotechnology to improve the properties of composite materials. Its patented technology allows for the even dispersion of carbon nanotubes in composite materials. The company has 25 employees and operates out of a 26,000-square-foot facility in Columbus.
Lockheed Martin, based in Bethesda, Md., said it will incorporate Zyvex's technology into products and services that are important to national security.
