Rampf Group Inc., which has handled sales and distribution of its German parent's polyurethane mixing and dispensing equipment, is producing liquid materials for foam gaskets in Wixom, Mich.
Wixon-based Rampf is the U.S. subsidiary of Rampf Group of Grafenberg, Germany. The firm has invested $1 million to build a 30,000-square-foot plant in Wix¼om to make PU foam gaskets. The materials mainly are used by the auto industry for sealing doors.
Also, Rampf is offering a new two-component mix head, called MS-C, featuring a patented, servo-driven ceramic valve system. The valve disk has no dynamic seals, so valves do not require frequent cleaning and rebuilding.
Valve and mixing sections are separate, so the mixing chamber and mixer can drop down with a quick coupler for a rapid change.
