The plan for the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. and American Chemistry Council to join hands to train ambassadors for the plastics industry is a great and timely initiative. [“SPI, ACC unit team up to push plastics agenda,” Sept. 15, Page 32].
This kind of initiative, if spread across the world, would have at least 25 million or more ambassadors in almost 60 or 70 countries where plastic processing and trade is vibrant.
My congratulations to Bill Carteaux and Steve Russell for this idea. Please share the communication model for industry ambassadors with other nations. We at the Asian Plastics Federation, which includes India, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Bangladesh, etc., will value your cooperation.
Plastics trade is global today. Let us use our combined strength to reach out effectively to convey the positive side forcefully.
