This week the American Chemistry Council kicked off a blog summit on energy efficiency, which will cover some topics that are very important to readers of this blog. The summit is located at www.benefitsofplastics.com, and the trade group is calling this effort its "inaugural foray into social media." The event will take place from Nov. 5-23, and will cover topics including the role of plastics in the advancement of energy efficient products. I'm one of the summit panelists -- others include Randy Dearth, the president and CEO of Lanxess; Chris Pappas, the president and COO of Nova Chemicals; Sara DeLucia of Bayer MaterialScience AG; Bob Lilienfeld, editor of the ULS [Use Less Stuff] Report; and Rita Schenk, executive director of the Institute for Environmental Research and Education. The general public can participate too, through moderated comment boards. So check it out and let us know what you think. I'll watch for opportunities to link to some good discussions.
