Polyfab Corp. is increasing its capacity with the addition of a 380-ton Krauss Maffei injection molding press.
The machine has a 34-ounce shot. It is the second Krauss Maffei press the company has added in the past five months, according to Wally Bartelt, Polyfab's sales and marketing manager.
He said that the Sheboygan-based company added a Krauss Maffei 38-ton press with a 1.2-ounce shot back in June. Both are fitted with Yushin high-speed robots. Polyfab had 16 presses before the two additions.
``Our business is growing and that's what justifies adding more capacity,'' he said.
The company is a custom molder serving such industries as food service, health care, packaging, and lawn and garden.
Polyfab has 74 employees and operates out of a 51,000-square-foot facility in Sheboygan.
