Jomar Corp., the Pleasantville, N.J.-based maker of injection blow molding machines, claims to have developed the world's largest injection blow molding model, called the M-175.The press has 175 tons of clamping force, so it can run high-cavitation molds using standard resins approved for injection blow molding. At the same time, the M-175 is compact, with a small footprint, a shut height of 10-14 inches, and a maximum trigger bar of about 49.3 inches.
A vertical plastification unit helps keep the size small and also is the main reason the M-175 uses significantly less energy than other machines, according to the company.
