Jeff Mengel is a partner and the plastics industry team leader out of the Chicago office of Plante & Moran (www.plantemoran.com), the nation's 12th largest certified public accounting and business advisory firm. As such, he specializes in working with plastics processors, mold builders and related plastics industry clients.
Mengel has more than 29 years of experience in operational and strategic planning, inventory control, scheduling, forecasting and costing, as well as tax planning and financial statement preparation.
Mengel has written numerous articles and spoken on multiple occasions on effective strategies for molders and mold makers. Annually, he leads the Plante & Moran North American Survey of the Plastics Industry a benchmarking survey, and statistical analysis of the plastics industry.
The Michigan State University honors graduate is a certified public accountant and a certified production and inventory manager. He is a member of Society of Plastics Engineers, the Society of Plastics Industry Inc. and has served as board member for SPI's Midwest Region.
