Life-Time Poly-Millwork and parent RAS Industries Inc. have acquired Focal Point Architectural Products Inc. of Tarboro, N.C.
The seller was Noel Group LLC of Wake Forest, N.C. The firms did not disclose terms.
RAS Industries' management said that Focal Point will continue its current business practices and operate as an independent company within the RAS Industries family.
Life-Time Poly-Millwork, based in Charleroi, and Focal Point both make polyurethane architectural products for interior decor. The products replace more intricate wood or plaster constructions.
``The combination of Focal Point's presence in the retail channels and the strength of its interior molding products, coupled with Life-Time's position in the exterior millwork market, creates a complete architectural solution for our customers,'' said Afshan Khan, RAS chief executive officer, in a Jan. 25 news release.
Focal Point has nearly 40 years history ``as a pioneer and leader in the interior polyurethane building products industry,'' Khan said. He said the company has led the way ``with innovative, stylish products.''
Focal Point's niche lies in providing innovative, easy-to-install products, ``creating detailed millwork that offers cost-effective, time-saving alternatives to complicated wood buildups or plaster,'' said the firm's president, Ken Robinson.
