This week's The New Yorker magazine has a feature story about David de Rothschild and the Plastiki. The magazine's Web site has video to accompany the story. You remember the Plastiki -- the boat made out of old PET bottles that de Rothschild, heir to a famous banking family and author of the Global Warming Survival Handbook, is sailing on an 8,000-mile journey from San Francisco to Australia in an effort to raise awareness of marine debris problems. In this video, de Rothschild and members of the crew talk about building the boat.
