Marathon Equipment Co. will close its Clearfield, Pa., plant May 15, cutting 71 jobs.
The Vernon company said it will move production from Clearfield to its Alabama facility. Marathon, which makes waste-handling equipment, also has a plant in Yerington, Nev.
The company said it is helping employees find other jobs. They will continue to receive benefits for 60 days after the plant closes.
