An IQMS Inc. user now can build a preconfigured work space, customized to show information he or she wants, thanks to the new Smart Page for Enterprise IQ, IQMS' enterprise resource planning software.
Smart Page puts everything on one easy-to-navigate screen. Key performance indicators can be set up with speedometer gauges, to quickly show that the function — such as machine utilization, unscheduled downtime, scrap rates and cycle time — meets parameters in real time.
The Smart Page interface also offers:
* Access to all ERP areas, including quality, engineering, accounting, manufacturing, customer service, maintenance and human resources.
* Customizable charts and graphs.
* “To-do” Web approvals with direct access to approval details.
* Direct access to calendar, calls, tasks, support and meeting schedules.
* Customized report directories and e-mail integration.
Different types of users — executives, shipping department people, quality managers and production management — can set up Smart Page to show specific types of information. The software also has unlimited, user-defined short cuts to EnterpriseIQ modules.
Another new product, Smart Search, works with Smart Page, to provide a “Google” type of interface that searches the entire EnterpriseIQ ERP database, plus all document control libraries and internally stored libraries. The search brings up everything related to that specific term, such as part number, customer name and reject code.
Smart Search also allows for “fuzzy” searches, to account for minor misspellings.
In other news, IQMS now offers virtual training classes for companies using EnterpriseIQ. Companies now can access live, online training sessions, at minimal cost.
