Tampoprint of Germany has developed a water cooling solution to the problem of rotary printing wheels warming up during their operation.
Warming the wheel using gas flames at a pre-treatment station, part drying units and post-treatment can lead to register inaccuracies and feed problems. But room temperatures also have a significant influence on the print quality, for example increasing evaporation of solvents or faulty print image transfer.
Tampoprint has developed a watercooled part transport unit including jig carrier, which has been launched with its new RTI 21-150 rotary printing unit.
The water-cooled wheel is standard equipment with 3-lane Rotoprint fully automated systems. It can be selected as an option for the company's 1- and 2-lane automated systems.
The new products are being shown on Tampoprint's stand at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in October.
