Gienow Group, one of Canada's largest window and door manufacturers, has completed a restructuring plan to help the company reduce its debt and improve its capital structure, according to a company news release.
Boston-based Sankaty Advisors LLC, the credit affiliate of Bain Capital LLC, provided a substantial equity investment to consummate the restructuring, the release said.
Calgary-based Gienow Group is made up of Gienow WinDoor Ltd., Farley WinDoor Ltd., Award WinDoor and AWD WinDoor Ltd. The firm does not have in-house vinyl extrusion operations, according to a Canada-based source.
Company officials could not be reached for comment.
According to Window & Door magazine, Gienow makes vinyl, aluminum, wood and wood-clad windows, as well as steel and fiberglass doors. The firm employs 1,500 and has annual sales of $100 million to $200 million.
