The coming together of NPE — the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc.'s huge triennial international plastics show — and SPE's Antec — the world's largest technical conference — is an industry first.
Antec 2009 will run from June 22-24 in West Hall, which has 61 meeting rooms. The SPE program will offer more than 700 papers from engineers, scientists, academics and industry managers, as well as workshops and forums.

c The New International Plastics Design Competition. Hosted by SPI's Alliance of Plastics Processors, the design competition claims to be the first open to any product, in any end-use market, from any country. c MoldMaking Expo 2009, sponsored by MoldMaking Technology magazine, focuses on mold making and rapid manufacturing. The conference and exhibit will run from June 22-25. c PET Strategies Plus, June 23-24, covers packaging issues related specifically to PET.
