CHICAGO (June 22, 10:55 a.m. ET) — TSM Control Systems Inc. (Booth N85027) touts its TSM Auto-Clean to cut production costs on the firm's range of Opti-Mix gravimetric blenders.
To help processors meet the market slowdown, TSM has focused on reducing down time during order changes, reducing labor costs through cleaning automation, cutting raw material usage and avoiding unnecessary excess energy costs of scrap material reprocessing.
Opti-Mix technology allows processors to reduce virgin material usage with more accurate mixing. They can also use more regrind without the additional cost of having to repelletize materials. The unique mixing technique virtually eliminates varations due to bulk density by delivering consistent mixing of materials of all densities, claims the Atlanta-based company. The mixing augur creates a downward force to cram difficult regrind materials through the throat of the processing machine.
The Auto-Clean allows the entire Opti-Mix blender to be automatically cleaned from floor level, avoiding safety risks associated with employees reaching elevated machines. The system automatically cleans the blender from the vacuum receiver to machine throat, reducing production downtime and labor costs.
TSM claims it has 10,000 installations in 40 countries worldwide.
