Italian granulator maker CMG SpA is re-entering the North American market.
Bologna-based CMG is well-established in Europe, where the company has sold more than 20,000 granulators over the last 30 years.
In the past, CMG has made granulators for Gloucester Engineering Co. Inc., through a joint venture in New Hampshire, and under a private-label agreement for Cumberland Engineering Corp.
CMG now is represented by Ragosta Consultants LLC of Johnston, R.I. Robert Ragosta is a veteran of auxiliary equipment with 35 years of experience.
CMG is coming back to North America with an expanded line of size-reduction equipment.
The Italian auxiliary company offers 42 different models of granulators, ranging from beside-the-press grinders to large central granulators.
Included in the product line are granulators designed specially for the thermoforming market.
CMG also builds a line of de-dusting and dust-removal systems.
The company will introduce a line of single-shaft shredders in October.
CMG recently invested $2 million to add a 4,000-square-foot technical demonstration area, for testing customer products.
