Congratulations to Traex Co., an injection molder in Dane, Wis., which recently earned membership in the Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) of the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration at the star, or highest, level. Traex molds food service products, with 90 workers and 14 injection presses running three shifts. "Traex demonstrated that strong safety and health efforts can be achieved and maintained even in the face of an economic downturn," said Sandra Taylor, OSHA's acting regional administrator in Chicago, in a news release. "The principles of lean engineering form the basis for much of what Traex has accomplished, but the VPP team was also impressed with the strength of the Traex safety and health teams and their commitment to continual workplace improvement."
OSHA honors Wisconsin's Traex Co.
