Innovative Injection Technologies Inc. has invested $1 million to purchase 35,000 square feet of warehouse space on 2.3 acres next door to the custom injection molder's headquarters in West Des Moines.
The company, known as i2Tech, will relocate its current offsite warehouse from Urbandale, Ill., to move about 10 miles away to the adjacent building.
Robert Janeczko, president and CEO, said i2Tech bought a complex of four buildings, all interconnected, which became available after the former occupant went out of business.
The $1 million price tag includes the building, land and construction improvements.
The warehouse and i2Tech's factory are benefiting from the city of West Des Moines' $10 million project to widen a two-lane road into five lanes, add traffic lights and build a new storm sewer, to serve the industrial and residential area.
