Mokon is offering a new E+ package, for energy savings, which includes an insulated heater canister that reduces heat loss by 60 percent; a control that matches output to process demand; faster response and extended heater life; and a forced-ventilated cabinet that the company claims extends the life of electrical components.
The company from Buffalo, N.Y., has expanded its Hydrotherm line of circulating water-temperature control units, for heating capacities up to 24 kilowatts.
In chiller news, Mokon now is offering the environmentally friendly refrigerant, R-407C, on its line of Iceman portable and central chiller systems. R-407C contains no ozone-depleting properties, but has similar properties, characteristics and pressure ratings to R-22 refrigerant, which is soon to be phased out by the U.S. government, the company said.
Mokon also offers a Cold Climate System designed for process cooling in cold-weather areas. It uses ambient air temperature to cool fluid in a closed-loop system that does not require make-up water or special chemical treatments. It is available with cooling capacities up to 140 tons and flow capacities up to 390 gallons per minute.
