Dekkers will also serve as CEO of Bayer HealthCare, succeeding Arthur Higgins, who is leaving the company for personal reasons. Dekkers currently is CEO and president of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. He will join the Bayer board Jan. 1 along with Werner Baumann, who will succeed Klaus Kuhn as the company's chief financial officer.
