Doylestown, Pa.-based Penn Color calls 66N1742 a cost-effective alternative to pre-colored amber PET used for pharmaceutical bottles. It meets U.S. Pharmacopeia specifications for extractability and light trans- mission.
Penn Color's 66N1744 provides very low light transmission to protect contents in pharmaceutical packaging. It features extremely low light transmission in the range of 290-520 nanometers wavelengths. It meets strict guidelines for color and haze and allows cost savings compared with pre-colored PET resin, the company said.
