Heaterwerks Inc., a new maker of hot runners, temperature controllers, heaters and sensors, has moved into a new plant in Elk Grove Village, Ill.
Heaterwerks started operating in July, President Dean Stojka said.
In 2006, Stojka acquired the hot-runner business from Fast Heat Inc., buying it from his family. He renamed the business Fast Heat Hot Runner Systems.
We sold the hot-runner systems for the past three years. In July, I decided to expand and get into manufacturing heating elements, and still make the hot runners and hot-runner components, Stojka said.
Stojka has more than 22 years' experience in hot-runner systems and components.
Heaterwerks' core team of hot-runner veterans, formerly with Fast Heat Hot Runner Systems, have worked together for more than 30 years. They excel in hot-runner systems, stock components, manifold systems and temperature controllers.
The company's offerings include new lines of heating elements and sensors, including cartridge heaters, band heaters and strip heaters.
Stojka said the economic downturn has caused some suppliers of thermal components to pull back. We're expanding to fill that void, he said. After so many years in the industry, I'm creating a company that does it right.
