Mold maker Electroform Co. Inc. has added an eighth injection molding press to the fleet at its research and development facility as part of a manufacturing cell for automated production.
Electroform, based in Rockford, purchased an Arburg Allrounder 165-ton, all-electric press equipped with an Arburg Multi-Lift robotic system and Electroform's own in-mold loading station, the company said in an Oct. 12 news release.
The mold maker produces complex tools and integrates them into complete cells for processing.
Having the molding equipment in the R&D facility and our ongoing development of future tooling technology allows us to show customers what new manufacturing methods are available to them, how they operate and answer their questions with respect to optimizing their process, said Electroform President Wade Clark.
