Schulman targeting sheet and profiles
FAIRLAWN, OHIO A. Schulman Inc. of Fairlawn is re-launching its Invision-brand enhanced polyolefin materials with a focus on sheet and profile markets.
The compounds and capstock resins are based on polyethylene and polypropylene, including modified PP grades such as thermoplastic olefins.
The materials are very durable and can be color-matched to meet appearance requirements, officials said in a news release.
Schulman makes Invision materials at a plant in Bellevue, Ohio.
Goldsmith & Eggleton upgrade Ohio facility
WADSWORTH, OHIO Goldsmith & Eggleton Inc. of Wadsworth has completed the final phase of a three-stage mill room upgrade that significantly expands the firm's production capabilities.
That included installation of a Marley water cooling tower. G&E earlier this year installed new, dual-drive, unitized 84-inch batch-off mills.
G&E reprocesses ethylene propylene diene monomer, styrene butadiene rubber and related products, and distributes wide-spec grades of some specialty polymers.
