Adrian Beale began his career in 1988 with Britain's ICI Chemicals & Polymers Ltd. as a commercial assistant, later becoming a key account manager with specific responsibility for sales of aromatics, PTA, methanol, phenol and derivatives throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
In 1993 he became business manager for Gantrade Corp.'s European styrene and acrylic monomers business. Four years later he was promoted to general manager of Gantrade Europe Ltd. In addition to his trading and management responsibilities, he actively worked on the origination and execution of corporate acquisition opportunities in the European chemical industry.
Beale then moved to Goldman Sachs in London as vice president of equity research for the European chemicals sector. There he analyzed the major public chemical companies in Europe and made investment recommendations to institutional investors based on fundamental analysis of the industry and financial analysis of specific stocks.
He joined Chemical Market Associates (www.cmaiglobal.com) in August 2003 as director of Europe and Middle East aromatics with responsibility for CMAI's European market service for aromatics. In August 2007 he moved to the CMAI headquarters in Houston as director of benzene, phenol and derivatives and assumed responsibility for CMAI's North American aromatics market service. In 2008 Beale became director of global engineering resins and launched CMAI's new global engineering resins service covering polycarbonate, ABS, nylon, polybutylene terephthalate, POM and polypropylene.
He also participates in CMAI's proprietary studies related to aromatics and engineering resins.
Beale earned a French business diploma from Chambre de Commerce in Lille, France, in 1987, and the following year received a bachelor's degree, with dual honors in French and business studies from the University of Sheffield, England.
