Guill Tool & Engineering Co. Inc. of
Model 2030 is designed to extrude pipe for the marine, cable, electronics, water and oil, and natural gas industries.
Pipe makers have experienced polymer variations, Guill said. Inconsistent material flow and distribution slows down production, resulting in a critical loss of time, material and money.
Model 2030 solves those problems, according to Guill, because of a patent-pending combined die and reservoir system. Material from the die is delivered with the balance necessary for accuracy. Coextrusion capability enables the simultaneous extrusion of multiple materials or multiple stripes.
On the blow molding side, Guill said its Model 1025 yields 8½-10 inches of core diameter, available in designs including single- and multilayer, multiple stripes, coextrusion, triple extrusion, spiral and split flow. The dies are designed to handle a range of exotic materials including bioplastics, composites and advanced polymer blends.
