Turpault, Mathieu

Mathieu Turpault, a French national, joined Philadelphia-based Bresslergroup Inc. in 1996, and relocated from his native Paris. He is an industrial designer by training and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree, with honors, from the prestigious Ecole Superieure de Design Industriel in Paris.

He began his career working for Elfi Corp.'s Brandt Division in France, where he designed exclusive cooking appliances for the European market, before moving on to design fashion eyewear and apparel for Cebe International in the south of France. Turpault then moved to Philadelphia.

He currently is design director at Bresslergroup (www.bresslergroup.com), an award-winning product development consultancy. Bresslergroup began 38 years ago and has developed an extensive expertise in medical product development.

Turpault has a strong interest in project management and operations. The winner of numerous design awards, he has a passion for user research and medical projects. He's designed a wide variety of products, ranging from large, floor-standing lab equipment to life-saving portable devices, including numerous surgical devices with challenging technical and material requirements.

Turpault also leads Bresslergroup's sustainability efforts and helps to drive sustainable design initiatives for clients. Bresslergreen (www.bresslergreen.com) is the firm's sustainable design blog, where it openly shares its knowledge and findings on the topic with the design community at large.

In his current role, Turpault leads a team of multidisciplinary designers working across a wide variety of projects and industries. In addition, he also manages client relationships across states, countries and continents.
